The tour starts at 8:00 AM with pickup from your hotel in Cairo or Giza by a Tix & Trips Egypt Tours professional guide. Begin your full-day tour with a visit to the Giza Pyramids and the Great Sphinx, among the most iconic and popular tourist attractions in the world. These magnificent monuments have drawn visitors since ancient Roman times. Each pyramid served as the final resting place of a king of Egypt’s 4th Dynasty (c. 2613–2494 BC). The Great Pyramid of Giza was built for King Khufu (c. 2589–2566 BC), while the other two were constructed for Khafre and Menkaure, his son and grandson. Khufu’s pyramid is the oldest and largest of the three and remained the tallest structure on Earth for nearly 3,800 years. Afterward, continue to the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM). Begin your visit with the remarkable Hanging Obelisk, one of the museum’s most unique exhibits. Suspended from the ceiling, it offers visitors a rare perspective to admire its ancient hieroglyphics and detailed carvings. Next, proceed to the impressive Statue of Ramses II, one of the largest and most awe-inspiring exhibits in the museum. Visitors can observe the fine details of its carvings and artistic craftsmanship up close. You will then view the 10 Statues of Senusert from a distance, allowing you to appreciate the artistry and scale of these ancient masterpieces. Continue to the Grand Staircase, another monumental feature of the museum, which leads to the upper galleries and can also be admired from a distance. As the tour continues, explore the exhibits of the Ptolemaic King and Queen, which highlight the rich history and culture of Egypt during the Ptolemaic era. Next, see the Victory Columns, towering symbols of ancient Egyptian military achievements, beautifully decorated with detailed carvings. Finally, visit the Royal Regalia exhibits, showcasing royal crowns, jewelry, and ceremonial accessories used by ancient Egyptian kings and queens, reflecting the luxury, power, and extraordinary craftsmanship of the time. At the end of the tour, you will be comfortably transferred back to your hotel in Cairo.
